Performing Companies

What is Company?

Company is groups of similarly skilled dancers that learn one dance in the summer and perform it at various events throughout the year. It was created to give dancers desiring more performance opportunities outside of our Winter Show and Spring Recital. We will be forming groups of 5 or more dancers in a variety of styles and ages.

Performing Companies are groups of dancers that will learn and perform a dance at various events throughout the year. They will begin learning the choreography in August.

To participate in a performing company, a dancer needs to commit to the entire year (August through May). They are not only required to meet once a month to review and rehearse the company piece, but also attend regular technique classes closest in style to their company piece.

Each company costs $135 which includes costume and rehearsal times. It does not include tights, shoes, company jacket or competition fees.
